This may sound strange, but I really think Texas would have the potential to win a championship every single year under Saban. The schedule would set up so easily. All he'd ever have to prepare for would be OU and OSU, and sometimes Baylor I guess

He would be way bigger than he is now. Can people even fathom that? He's the greatest of all time and would be joining the richest program with the most delusional winning driven fans in college football, and the entire conference would be wrapped around his little finger.

I remember a few years ago watching refs make terrible calls at the end of big 12 games (near the end of the season) just to get Big 12 teams in better bowls. It was painfully obvious the refs were fricking over the kids to get more exposure/money to the conference.

Imagine that shite with Saban at the helm.

Bama is not an empire.

You want to see an empire? Let him go to go UT.

It's a recipe that could change the landscape of college football.

Given what he has brought you there's no justification for your post, whatsoever. Besides that, I have a tremendous ego and I WOULD leave your sorry arse.

I also have a bit of contempt for people I view as unreasonable, intellectually inferior, and unappreciative of complexities and nuance. I prefer progressive places like Austin to conservative places like Tuscaloosa, and I don't mind people living vicariously through my hard work and accomplishments as long as it brings them joy instead of some replacement sense of self and entitlement.

I know nothing about Nick Saban's intentions, but I think I am aligned his psyche. If I had the chance to bring national championships to three different places, something no one has ever done, I bolt, especially for more money. I predict he leaves for Texas.

If were being honest, knowing what we know about him, I'm shocked he hasn't given the NFL another shot. To a perfectionist, his stint in Miami has to be nagging at the back of his mind. Its his one failure.

It was 2 seasons. When will people realize he's not going back to the NFL?

Honestly, I thought he might go to the Detroit Lions if he ever left bama. They got a great QB and talent. IF they miss the playoffs this year, they might have an opening. It would be good time to try the NFL again for Saban. If he hates it 2-3 years down the road, just go and replace spurrier at South Carolina for a final run, he would be about 65 with a good setup.

Texas with the right coach trumps Bama easily.

Well what the frick is the hold up? We've both been playing ball since the 1800's.

You're all basing this on what you've been told and what you want to believe to be true. I'm basing this on what has transpired for over a century.

If Texas was the be all end all grand job you're trying to make it out to be then I have trouble grasping why their accomplishments throughout history have been dwarfed by little ol' bama

Rex, you might be on to something. Saban is a liberal guy so I would think that he and Terry would be happier in Austin. It has to awful to live in Alabama and never have a moment of peace from the fans.

Look at Coach Urban Meyer when he bailed out of UF. He handled it poorly but, his motives were clearly to get out of that pressure cooker of a program at UF. even though Texas and Ohio State are both great programs with high expectations, they are nothing in comparison to the big 6 in the SEC. Your quality of life would probably be a lot better out of the SEC.
