Their program is on the rise. They have absolutely great facilities for a G5 program. They are close to being the second best program in the state. Napier has them recruiting on a very high level. Do they go young again and run the risk of getting their coach poached by a P5 or do they go the re-tread coach who got fired from a P5?

I said Rebowe or promote Roberts, but they may want to go for a bigger name.

Why wouldn't they continue to go young? ULL's best bet is to try to constantly find the young coach on the rise. They will never find a stud coach who will just stay at ULL for life. If they have a good coach, somebody will come get them. They have an opportunity to try to become the launching pad for coaches careers, instead of the grave yard it used to be.

It seems that their new AD is doing a great job. I'm sure he will make a solid hire.

They will be able to attract a very high level young coach if Napier leaves this year. I think Roberts has done great at DC and I love Rebowe but they’re going to be looking bigger.

Thankfully, no one in Martin Hall is trying to make it to the Governor's Mansion these days.

Ray Authement and Ray Blanco can go hump a cactus for pulling that bullshite.

Tim Rebowe is doing the Lord’s work at Nicholls State, I think people forget what a pile of shite that program used to be.

I assume this would be their #1 target.

I wouldn't be disappointed with Rebowe. Respect the hell out of the guy, and he obviously knows how to build and run a team. But I like more the idea of trying to find another young, aggressive guy who wants to blow the doors off and get promoted to a P5 HC position.

In fact, as much as I don't give two shits about basketball, we should fire our lame arse, overpaid basketball coach and try to do similar.

100% absolutely agree with you on basketball.

Our goal as a program should be to hire the right kind of coach (Napier) and retain them for 3-5 years. That goes for basketball too.

One or two years is a very quick turnover rate and it is hard to sustain success when the turnover is that quick.

No doubt has done a really good job at Grambling, but our current defensive coordinator has more of a resume. I'd think we'd just promote him, unless he was for sure gone with Napier.

I’ve heard that Roberts doesn’t want to be a HC.

If Napier leaves, then I want Rebowe.
