Then I feel really good about this coaching search, I personally think Napier would do a great job here.

Same here, he seems like a promising young coach with a bright future

Can Napier’s floor hold Bielema?

If Jen can hold Bert, I'm sure Bill can.

Tucker is the lowest we’re willing to go. He would accept the job yesterday.

That’s why you’ve seen local media (Rabalais, et al.) float his name in the event that the bigger candidates pull out. Need to sell him to the fanbase if needed.

Think he’s targeting Riley, Jimbo, Rhule, & possibly another candidate. You know Woodward has his guy if you start hearing that Tucker is “committed to Michigan State.”

My concern is BoB jumping in. Hopefully this past Saturday gets rid of him.

I agree. I don’t think it will be him because that would not be a big splash but I would be okay with it.

Napier seems to be almost dominant in his conference. #1 recruiting classes. He would do well here.

I don't think he's in the picture. I don't agree at all with Woodward's views on the Orgeron-Fox News thing (and likely the BLM March), but his comments around this suggest he wants someone that is going to be competent at developing a positive culture with the players. O'Brien helped stabilize a dumpster fire at PSU but he was a disaster with the Texans on this.

I'd take Napier on a 5 year 25M deal with heavy incentives and a massive buyout.

I'm glad you're not in charge of the negotiations. Why the frick would you give Napier a large buyout?

If he is exceeding expectations, which he should, Someone will try to take him (say.. 'bama), and Bama will have to pay the massive buyout. It's not that hard to figure out baw

He is too smart for that.

And what if he tanks? Then we're responsible for that buyout.

No coach is leaving straight from LSU to Alabama unless it's a situation where they're an alumni, etc. Even then it's highly unlikely
