Ed Orgeron as a recruiting coordinator/DL coach?
He would be the first guy i hired past the OC/DC.
Say what you want about the man. He's a crazy coonass, can't speak english, yawyawyaw, etc, but the guy can recruit. He knows Louisiana like the back of his hand.
Let's face it. Nobody would want to beat the hell out of Ole Miss more than this guy.
He won't be the face of your program, but alot of the players like him and will play hard for him.

I would too!! I don't care what he did at OM as a head coach. The guy is an awesome recruiter. If i were Miles, i would try to find him a place on this staff somewhere/anywhere.

I read in an article that he grew up pulling for LSU and when he was walking the halls of the football complex of OM, sometimes you could hear him humming "Hold that Tiger"

I can believe it, he did come here to play football before transferring.

of course! not all coordinators are head coach material, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. anyone who says no is only looking at him for his record as the ole miss head coach. he's one hell of a coordinator and an even better recruiter

he would rip off his shirt in bogies.

The writer of the book "Meatmarket" claimed that Orgeron would indeed hum the LSU fight song occasionally while he was covering him for the book. He indicated that he was pretty obsessed with LSU and trying to steal Louisiana recruits out of Lousiana out from under LSU. It is a good read and very interesting. Big O is obviously a hell of a recruiter.

I don't want a coach that likes to rip his shirt off in front of his players. And I'm gay.
