Kiffin making the change to LSU and then steamrolling Bama next year will be a good move for Kiffin.

If Saban wanted him he would have at least had a contract offer on his desk. Not necessarily disparaging to Lane either sometimes you just want to go a different direction. Hope y'all like jet sweeps.

If his options are HC or OC, he's going to choose OC. If his options are OC at LSU or unemployed, he's going to choose OC at LSU. The wild card would be if Saban has would would be a change of heart based on recent reporting and decides to offer Lane a renewal. Then Kiffin has a real choice to make. None of the other choices above are that difficult.

I thought Bama didn't want Kiffin anymore he was garbage holding them back, Sark was the real genius behind the scenes! Kiffin is done at Alabama he wants nothing to do with Saban anymore, Saban wants to treat him like a little bitch, so now he's coming to LSU to make Saban his bitch

Strong to USF looking very possible at the moment. Again, smart move for LSU would be to lock up Kiffin (if that's who O wants) and have him recruit for you this weekend and/or at least be able to tell recruits before the dead period that "this is our guy"

last I heard Bama was already making the classic excuses when an assistant coach leaves. Oh he's the worst OC we've ever had. He was only good because our lord and savior Nick Saban made him look good. We already have a better coach lined up. LSU did the same act after LSU lost Chavis. Now you want to keep Kiffin .

Nope. Just sharing my thoughts, which many LSU fans in this thread agreed with. Not trolling. Not hating. Not "scared". Just sharing that if you are going to hire someone from an interdivisional opponent, you should do so in a timely manner so he can recruit for you, you can use the buzz going into the dead period, and you don't give the current employer time to reevaluate the value they've placed on that employee.
