If it's announced today at noon, then it's likely been a done deal for a while

As this plays out, it seems that it's been a done deal for a while. You just don't send out a 7 am sharp tweet for a noon presser without planning. But it makes you wonder if its someone not in the top three publicly discussed candidates.

I agree with this. Either the Admin had picked O all along (not likely), or it all was a smokescreen and the rumors about Herman were correct and Aranda did work.

Nah. I have a feeling it will be O. The reason to hurry up with the press conference is to make it look like we are not settling for him and waiting on herman.

fleck is in his conference title game next week, though, if it was him we wouldn't be having a press conference today, we would wait til next week

It's either Herman or somebody whose last name is not Fisher or Orgeron.
Just my opinion, but I can't realistically see them going with coach O. If they do, Alleva needs to be fired immediately.
