Fine. Top job then, since you insist.

Not really that crazy from a resource, recruiting, and success standpoint. If we're talking other areas like living in baton rouge...yeah, definitely not a top 5 job. Living in BR probably should automatically deduct about 15 spots for it minimum. The only people who think BR isn't the arse of the earth is those who never left the state of louisiana.

It’s arguable Kiffin has already had two shots at it.

The one Woodward chooses would be my pick . He’s the guy with the most information and we are a bunch of people speculating with nothing but our gut instinct as our guides.

LSU is without a doubt a top 5 job.

Kiffin best case scenario wins a Natty after 5 years then settles back to Joey Freshwater bc it's all about the vanity.

LSU doesn't need a coach that has to be put in time out every half decade or so

I want Aranda regardless of who else you pair him with. He's my first choice. I think he makes us dominant for a long, long time.

Kiffin would dominate with LSU talent. Period.

This.

The more thought I give it, the more I want it to happen. I know better than to get too attached to a particular theoretical candidate, but I can’t help it.

Agree. Esp if given a lakeside hideout apt clause that Les had. One could argue Ole Miss is up there w LSU in respect to talent

His success at Ole Miss is tied to Corral

This is a real silly take.

It isn’t like he walked into having a pro ready QB. Corral was benched for Plumlee in 2019 before Kiffin arrived and got him on track last year. And now he’s having an elite season in year 2 under Kiffin.

Corral’s success is tied to Kiffin at least as much as the other way around.

Pretending Kiffin’s elite production out of Blake Sims, Jacob Coker and Jalen Hurts at Alabama didn’t happen is a weird way to evaluate his potential as a HC.

And that’s not even looking at the improvement he’s gotten out of every single college QB he’s worked with as a college HC going all the way back to Crompton at UT, Barkley and Kessler at USC, and Driskel and Robison at FAU.

Everyone loves Riley as a QB guru, myself included, but Kiffin is every bit as impressive in that regard.

How many times over the years have we heard “LSU is just a QB away”??

Kiffin in Baton Rouge would put an end to that need at the most important position on the field, and that’s pretty much a guarantee.

Kiffin isn't LSU tier atm. Great/Top play caller.

Woodward isn't going to hire the quirky high risk/high reward guy. Just my opinion

I don’t disagree with any of that.

But that comment about Kiffin’s success being tied to Corral needed correcting imo
