What was Jimbo and Pelini's relationship like while they coached together? Any chance he gets the band back together? Bo was a great DC.

Would Bo consider taking the DC position even though it's a step down from HC?

I definitely think that is a possibility.

I highly doubt it. He makes a fantastic salary where he's at, I think someone said 2.8m

An Aranda disciple? He's one of the hottest young coaches in the country, but he hasn't coached long enough to have "disciples."

Pelini is still (in my mind) one of the best DCs in the country.

Have you seen Wiskey play? He has one there running that defense.

A couple of things about Aranda:

1. He has to pay a buy out if he leaves for another DC job. If it's in the SEC, it's 50% of his remaining contract.

2. If we let him go, we have to pay him. I'm not sure how much. I think whatever is left on his contract. My guess is that the next HC will have to be OK with him.

So, I would say it's not likely that he leaves for another DC job. I would also say it's not likely we fire one of the best defensive minds in the country just to pay him a bunch of money.

Someone may buy him out, but he's in a great situation as a DC and is getting serious praise where he is. He has some serious talent to work with. I just don't see him leaving to be a DC anywhere else.

If he leaves, it will likely be for a HC job, IMO. And that would happen no matter who is head coach. Aranda will be a head coach very soon.
