You don't keep playing games with Jimbo and Sexton that will probably get you burned, with Jimbo getting a raise from FSU, and then Herman finding another landing spot while we're wasting our time. You close the deal with Herman if he's ready to close it with you.

If this is where things are - which I think DALSU said is so - and we end up with Gundy or Fedora, then this has been completely botched. Good point on if that happens, Alleva blew a two month head start.

Agree. Sexton playing drive the price up game and you still may not get him, when you can pay less and get Herman.

It isn't even debatable, of Herman agrees to the terms offered, you immediately bind the agreement. Why on Earth would you wait around for a guy who has burned you before and whose agent has put you over a barrel on multiple occasions? Just end it.

Jimbo has known that LSU would welcome him with open arms, and pocketbooks, for a long time now. He's had his chance to make the deal happen if he seriously wanted it. No Jimmy Sexton haggling for more money/power BS. If Herman is ready to sing his name to a contract, you make a mad dash to Herman with pen in hand.
