He's a pro-set I guy. he had some very good offenses under davis at miami and under his own leadership. ken dorsey flourished.
he's a proven o.c. and wouldn't be looking to leave anytime soon.

Why would Coker leave a Division 1 HC Job to come be an OC? Seriously the Head Coach at UTSA leave to be OC at LSU...wow just wow.

UTSA HC will pay more than LSU OC plus he is building his own program. They are joining the WAC. Larry Coker isnt going anywhere, be serious.

People love to underestimate the money UTSA throws around when it comes to football. Their boosters have deep pockets.

Coker is building the UTSA program from scratch. He won't leave it before playing one game. Red McCombs among others is finnancing the UTSA program and they are doing it the right way.

Crowton makes 450k. I am not sure what the other stuff adds up to, but I don't think it's that much.

So in short, Coker would make more at LSU as OC than he makes being the head coach at UTSA with all those "deep pocket boosters" that are just pouring money into that program hand over fist. haha
