If CLM were to leave would you feel guilt?

I certainly hope he stays here and continues to be successful.
If the negativity were to run him out of town, should this fanbase feel guilty for not embracing this man sooner?

I would feel bad, because I like Coach Miles
Does he frustrate me to no end sometimes? yes..
Flaws and all, I like Miles...He just needs a QB and an OC and he is good to go..

No but during 6 years, he has represented us extremely well. And you cannot argue with his winning record.
We could mess up a replacement coach big time and fall backwards. It is a risk going to the unknown.
Miles can recruit very well which is a huge part of successful college programs.

Guilt? Why would we feel guilty? I'm sure some of our rivals would be upset though.

I'd feel about as conflicted about him which, incidentally, has neither increased nor decreased in 6 years...and that concerns me.

the guy is doing pretty well for himself and if he left it would probably be for a job that would continue to pay him an outstanding salary.
there are too many people in the world with real problems to feel sorry for the 4 million dollar coach.

If CLM leaves it will be on his own terms judging from his conduct and demeanor thus far. Doesn't strike me as someone with thin skin, and with the financial package he has, he has no need to worry about it.
As it is he only has 17 total losses, 15 regular season and 2 post season in 6 years.
Give him either Matt at QB the last three years, and, even with the defensive lapse in '08, he loses less than 10 games in 6 years.

I'd just have to find a way to live with it and move on.

No guilt. I like Miles as a person. If I criticize him it's never personal. We don't all have to see eye to eye that's what makes life interesting. If he doesn't feel he wants to be at LSU it's time for him to go. I want a coach who wants to be here.

No. He is being paid amongst the top in his profession. That is the standard he set during contract negotiations at the tail end of his last SEC championship appearance and it's the standard fans should expect with the performance of his teams.
When those results are not materializing, then the fans do have reason to be critical.

There's nothing I have done that would affect Les leaving. Why would I feel guilt? Personally, I want him to stay, but if he feels he must leave, I support him.

Would you leave a$3.75 million a year job. a job he could only have dreamed of when he chose coaching, because a percentage of fans didn't approve of your performance.

If he leaves for Michigan, I would not feel guilt because this would be what the NFL was to Saban, his dream.
If he were to retire, or go to another schools (CU), I would not feel guilt because he's a big boy and that's what comes with getting $4 million per at an SEC pressure-cooker. I would feel bad for his kids, whom I understand have really set down some roots here and have made friends.
I have said it before...I like Miles as a person, and I would want my son to play for someone like him that has such devotion to his players. However, he is lacking as a head coach, and it is damned frustrating.

If he leaves in January will the same positigers that hate Saban for leaving on Christmas Eve now hate Corky for leaving even later?
