touche on the Meyer thing
I just think if Charlie was going to be fired they would have done it already. Why let him go out recruiting if they are gonna let him go?

if the price is right, I would think that they could lure anyone there that they wanted.

Weiss will get another year. Then, they will come VERY hard at Urban.

I heard someone on the radio saying that ND wants either Saban or Meyer and will do everything they can to get either one. I don't see them leaving, but what do I know.

Saban turning things around so quickly in Tuscaloser is their worst nightmare. There are definitely better jobs as far as loyalty and ND is one of them. It's high profile, has an inside tract to the NC every year and draws great recruits. They can also lay out the bucks.

I have since recanted the statement. I have been made aware of my error. I will now enter self banishment for this terrible error, the first of its kind on Tigerdroppings.

Don't forget their NBC contract. With Saban's ego, you know that he would love to have his face on national television EVERY week.

Saban said he wanted Bama to be his last job (because of the damage to his reputation)

and he said his family doesnt like the cold weather (so Terri Saban and their kids have a voice in this too)

I don't think Saban is going anywhere

Tuscaloosa is not quite tropical. It gets pretty cold up there. It will snow and stay below freezing for good portions of the year. Of course, nothing like Indiana.

This has been all over the papers down in Florida. He apparently changed course on the ND job at his wife's urging due to the amount of travel required to recruit for ND vs Florida. The word is now that his kids are all pretty much adults, he can take ND, Michigan or Ohio State and his wife has zero veto power.

People down there are genuinely nervous about Weis getting canned.

Saban won't leave BAMA. It is to cold in ND and academic restrictions hurt them plus BAMA will match any price another school offers.
