I don't care for the hire, but I'd take him wayyyyy before Franklin or Tucker

I tend to agree. I was back and forth during their last few games because it was slow starts and in some cases a tight game but then I reminded myself that he’s having tight games with the same talent level of his opponents. Can’t expect them to blow everyone out just based on coaching. Have to understand that he’s still coaching sunbelt talent

If Napier gets the LSU job, it will mean that Woodward woofed on a lot of other far better candidates before he settled for Napier.

They don't always win as pretty as you'd like to see but I've often seen Napiers teams make 2nd half adjustments and they win close games.

Not saying the guy is a bad coach. I just don't see why there's so much hype with him.

I love this board. 10 threads on how bad Napier sucks when he’s down in the fourth. They come back to win and everyone wants Napier because he beat a 4-5 Georgia state team at home

This. I've been searching for whatever it is that makes this guy a home run and haven't really turned up anything impressive. I guess it's because he's winning in the Sunbelt by turning around ULL? That's all I can come up with. It could be that someone just said he was the next Saban and everyone latched onto it.

He isn’t my first choice but I really believe this will come down to Aranda or Napier. I think Tucker is 5th but I cannot see this going that far down the list.
