I'd make Harbaugh say no too

Indy should hire Hue Jackson and call it a Search.

Got a bunch of downvotes for that, but wtf has Payton done without Gregg Williams? Nothing.
Was Saban not terrible in the pros? Coaching grown men with big paychecks is just not for him.

CSP reached the NFC title game in 06 without GW

Saban went 9-7 and 6-10, and he lost Ricky Williams to the weed suspension and had to roll with Joey Harrington at QB for the 6-10 year. People act like he went 4-12 both years or something, with the small sample size and circumstances I get why NFL teams are interested in him

I could see making Payton say no, but why Saban?
He is one of the best college coaches in history, but was a complete dumpster fire as a NFL coach.

9 years ago, with a prime Brees. He hasn't managed anything with the guys he's drafted.

Please stop acting like GW was the only reason the saints won a super bowl and playoff games. In fact GW was the reason CSP+Brees likely doesn't go to a second super bowl with his calls in that san fran game.
It is true outside of this year and 06 the saints have been lackluster at drafting but that's not entirely CSPs fault. The changes to the scouting department should have happened a while ago.
Shitty coaches don't make top offenses for a decade with mostly average talent at times.

quote:Great coaches don't have shitty defenses for a decade either. The Saints Super Bowl winning defense was average at best except when it came to forcing turnovers. They have had more than enough time since their Super Bowl season to develop an above average defense. They haven't. In fact, the defense is a disaster, and you can't absolve Sean Payton of responsibility. Whether the problem has been schematic or personnel, Payton has been the arbiter of both.

They had a respectable defenses in 06/09/10/11/13 that's half a decade by my measure.
And no Payton isn't perfect,he needs to get an up and coming DC and clean out the good ole boys while continuing to build in the draft.
Calling Payton a shitty coach is laughable when the majority(not even saints fans) view him as a top coach.

Losing record 3 out of the last 4 years doesn't exactly scream top coach lol.

I never said Payton is a shitty coach. I was pointing out that I don't consider him a great coach.

He hasn't had a losing record in 3 of his last four years. He's won 2 playoff games in his last 4 years, more than the entire pre-Payton Saints history. Overall record is 38-26 in the last 4 seasons of his
Lol

No he wasn't.
He didn't coach in 2012.
They also went to the Playoffs and won a playoff game in 2013.

I'll be the first to tell you I don't follow them closely enough to know everything, but LINK
Wikipedia says the same. I could be misreading something.
