They need to, we are just allowing one of our rival schools to keep setting us back.

If Kiffin delays the media on his decision until after the Ala game isn’t he giving a decision that he will coach ole Miss at least through the championship and perhaps longer. Doesn’t LSU have to take this in consideration for the purpose of starting recruiting and searching the portal without a coach. Would be smarter for ole Miss to allow Kiffin to do this to force LSU into a position and deadline

Imagine Nick Saban going to Alabama from LSU

And Nick wants to coach LSU in the playoffs

How do you think that would go over with the LSU faithful?

They would be saying get the hell out of here

As long as the deal is final let him coach in sec championship and playoffs. Everytime Ole Miss plays only thing broadcasters will be talking about is LSU. The publicity would be as if we were in the playoffs and the staff should be able to help recruit especially if you have O Wilson and Raymond still on staff

But if Lane wants to be at LSU, why would he want to not get here right away and start recruiting?

If it increased our chances at winning another NC, I'd let him coach. Besides, most coaches would never leave a playoff LSU for Bama anyway. Bama offers nothing more than LSU does. The LSU job is just as appealing, if not more.

Because he would like to see if he can win a championship this year. I'd think that was obvious.

This is a contradiction to what has been reported for weeks. LSU was willing to let him coach through the playoffs if he wanted. Ole Miss is the ones who have to make a decision and if Lane wanted to, he could tell them to kick rocks because they have no grounds to show him the door. They'd have to fire him for cause which they don't have or fire him then pay him his money.

It’s not apples to apples though. This is likely OMs once in their lifetime shot at CFP, so the short term hit of being the cuck is worth it to increase chances of winning.

If he’s still meeting with Ole Miss this morning trying to coach potential postseason games or negotiate anything else, he lied to LSU

He could still be here Sunday and still coach Postseason games.
