I will still be an LSU fan with NTP as coach. I will however mail my diploma to Lombardi and tell him "I am ashamed to hang it on my wall." And he can have it.

After that, I will move on. "Without a diploma on my wall."

and i think he wants to finally settle down.

Well, that's the big key to me. I'm not going to be happy with any "thinking" he wants to settle down. I'd love to have Nick Saban totally focused on and committed to making LSU a powerhouse for the next decade or so. But the only way I will ever be confident that's happening is with a gigantic-arse buyout in his contract. He's used up ALL his goodwill, trust and benefit of the doubt when it comes to sticking around. And even if he really did want to stay, what recruits would believe him now without that huge buyout to make sure he's sticking around?

Saban with a huge buyout = excellent hire.

Saban with no buyout = playing with fire, probably getting burned.

i would love for that moron to stop cheering for LSU, and start cheering for some other school like ULL. go ahead, denounce LSU as your school if saban is rehired. moron.

I saw Saban in chuch almost every Sunday while he was in BR unless it was after an away game and he couldn't make it.

They fly back in the night of the game...he's in bed at the same time as if he had a game in TS for the most part...

If we do hire Saban, he won't leave unless he's fired, so that's a pretty big upside.

Finding a new head coach every 4 years or so is getting ridiculous.

yea, i dont think people realize this

he's already done his "dream job"

and the fact that he's willing to go back to LSU and take the beating he will get in the media shows you it's where he wants to be

All this coming from someone tagged LSUoverUSC. Makes sense. Got a reference to the same worn out USC envy but you take the higher ground on Saban.

Bye

The only thing that would be bad would be if LSU went after him publically and he said no thanks. That would be a disaster.

Exactly - and why LSU will not go after him (at least not publicly).
