Plus Kiffin will only be a 1 year OC. Helfrich can have time to develop his offense. Imagine if Oregon had a defense back when he was OC. LSU does have a defense, and with a high octane offense we can't be stopped

I wholeheartedly agree with you. Helfrich is at the top of my list. But incoming are the "Football Experts" who thinks he runs a soft offense

We aren't going to be successful without successful coordinators. Successful coordinators are going to move on to head coaching jobs.

Why do y'all not want successful coordinators?

If Helfrich has success here he would be out the door ASAP too.

He reached out to the athletic department expressing interest. It was reported on a few sites & radio I believe.

It's been reported he contacted LSU officials (Prolly O) about the job over the phone

Stopped reading.

You have absolutely no idea if that's true.

Kelly called the plays and when Kelly left they went downhill.

Y'all have fricking lost it.

You really think the offense went downhill? You should check the stats my man. The defense fell apart after Allioti retired not the offense

If the offense went down hill as you say after Kelly left, then, my eyes must have been playing tricks on me when Oregon played in the CFP because I didn't see Chip Kelly on the sidelines doing that time.

I actually do not think Helfrich would be out the door ASAP. He did not do well at Oregon and it would take some time at a low-level program to get back.

Why is this a problem for any of them? if a coordinator is good enough to move on to a HC job, then its a home run hire. Would we rather a coordinator thats just good enough to not fire, but not good enough to be wanted elsewhere? Thats the bed we have made by hiring Coach O. Only thing left is to cycle through coordinators and hope for the best. Might as well hire the best ones that are willing to come here.

I am 100% with you, and started a thread on the 29th that said the same thing. He is Aranda 2.0 except on Offense.
