I think Barry Odom is gonna be the DC.

I believe that’s your better choice than Freeman, because Freeman will be getting a HC job within the next 2 years anyway and you will be looking for another DC again.

I’ll take Freeman for two years, especially if he leaves for a HC gig. That means he did a damn good job.

Barry Odom is very good friends with Sam Pittman. He just started working as his DC at Ark this past season. He is not jumping ship after one shortened season and ditching his good friend for a conf rival. Ark pays their assts very well. Pittman took a lesser salary in his contract so they could pay his assts top dollar.

Odom is absolutely the best choice, but I didn't think he was interested. He'd be gone in a couple years, too probably.

Don’t see Odom leaving Arky after only 1 year, and not for another SECW job.

Exactly - who would want to hire someone that is so good that someone else would want to hire him.
Remember the good ole days when we didn't have to worry about anyone hiring Curly Hallman away.

Dude your whacked it wouldn’t take Odom 4 to 5 years to turn LSU defense around. He turned Arkansas shitty defense around in one year to be respectable.

O's job is on the line with the DC/OC hires. Even if LSU has Freeman for only 2 or 3 years it would be worth it.
