I’m not suggesting O shouldn’t have been let go ... I’m not.
However why dont y’all stop for a second and put yourself in a current coach’s shoes that’s qualified for this job......

Facts are this:

This school just fired a dude who is two years removed from a NC perfect season.
You’re competing in arguably the toughest division (much less conf) in America. ... not only that at a school were it’s not ok to come in 2nd or 3rd
We don’t have a rival or attitude like ole miss or state or ark or even Auburn ... of those guys best their rival and win a few games that coach can buy a lot of years....
COVID was covid and teams roster was depleted two years in a row FOR WHATEVER REASON.... doesn’t matter why.
Still managed to win 6 and most prob should have been 9. Alabama ark and Auburn.

Assistant coaches is what cost us last two years.
Jones seems to really have kicked it up a notch second half of season with this defense.
We just simply don’t have Oline abs consistency at QB to win 10 games.

I never thought it was Riley bc that’s not how SW rolls.
I read this board daily, to my knowledge nobody mentioned LR to usc as candidate. Just proves how little to nothing damn near every person on this board knows.

I’m gonna be optimistic and trust SW is gonna deliver.
Tough job. Not much job security .......and as tim Tebow said couple days ago it’s bc everybody wants a nick saban and there’s just not another one out there.
All these jobs pay a shite ton of money.

Dont think for minute this doesn't weigh heavily on these guys minds that are considering this job.

Only some of this is accurate and you’ve answered your implicit questions (why would fire a coach so quickly) with other points (the roster was depleted for years). But I’m too lazy to go point by point. Your wife is having an affair.

He isn't to the standard...for 8 million a year

Agreed, and combined with being last in the division it is most definitely a fireable offense. Period.

No school can sustain success without good assistants. If you can't hire them, you don't need to be HC. It is top-3 of list of responsibilities.

Can you be a truck driver if you can do everything but steer? No. You can't be a HC if you can't hire assistants and coordinators. Bo was just the cherry on top.

Any coach worth a shite knows O is a clown and exactly why he was fired. That’s a stupid fricking theory.

The head coach is to blame for all 3 of these things. He mismanaged his roster, he made bad assistant coaching hires. Again he mismanaged his roster and made back coaching hires.

Whine so more about firing a coach who 2 years removed from a perfect season, proved in both years he could not guide a program in the right direction on or off the field

Lots of truth here.
We were talking about this at church today. LSU is a tough job and lots coaches aren't up to the challenge it would present. Positive thing is Nick is getting old.

It's because if only people would realize that LSU is heaven on earth a virtual paradise sitting in a humid swamp surrounded by refineries and populated by ungrateful fans and boosters and students that leave midway through the third quarter
