It is. Only morons that hold a grudge against O think it isn’t.

As a UL fan, I thought he would have been a perfect hire for the job back before they hired Napier. Didn't deserve the LSU job but make some sense at a Lower level.

Big energy guy, rallies the community which was needed with the way Hud tanked things. Big personality for recruiting and the local ties would be good for the footprint UL recruits in.

Not interested now. Napier has left things in far better shape than he found them and will depart having made the job a desirable opening, somewhere you can win and spring board into a P5 opening. So no coach O. Find me a hot assistant who wants a shot at his first HC gig.

it's not holding a grudge.

Imo it's just logic. I'm not sure why they'd elect to go from someone like Napier whose known for organization, professionalism, recruiting, and GameDay Xs and Os (to an extent I suppose).

Everyone knows most of those attributes aren't Orgeron's strong suits at all, I just don't see how they would want to go backwards.

He’ll stay there for 20 years and put Billy’s Boudin on the map with a sweet new “Geaux Cajuns” add campaign.

Say what you will but there's not many coaches that have an NC that would be willing to even consider ULL

That combined with his recruiting abilities they'd be mad to not take him

Well we know they will be ranked lower than LSU when that happens.

O is the antithesis of Napier. Unorganized, unprofessional, can't put together a staff for shite. He has fricking Jake peetz and daronte Jones at lsu, who would he get to come to Lafayette?

He'd have the transfer portal full of the wrs and weakside de's he recruits and have ULL last in the sun belt. Dude is awful without adult supervision

Nope. Cajuns can be the cream of the crop in the fun belt by going the Napier route over and over again. Young, organized and hungry is the play for that program. Not retreads
