Why is this sauce more credible than others? Just because it’s positive?

I want to believe.

You also have to think the fact that Ensminger hasn't been announced yet is a reason to pause and think about if there's a search going on or not.

So is Freeze potentially still in the mix?

Word on the street is Bham is putting pressure on SEC schools to not hire him on staff. Its not direct pressure though, as they only made the show-cause penalty for HC positions.

that doesn't jive with what some players have said, they've claimed it was a total overhaul that week. Not just tweaking some motion

According to my FiL's buddy, O is trying to keep him in the mix. Said it may delay the hire if O has to meet with the board or if they drag their feet trying to get a feel for the public and the SEC's reaction.

Was strongly hinted that the NOLA article had Ponamsky's fingerprints all over it.

The reasoning behind the shifts is to see how the defense will react and try to find the mismatch based off of that information gained. The exact same concept that Dave Aranda tries to do with his packages, creating a mismatch. The difference is Canada's offense is reactionary while Aranda's defense forces the mismatches. They're not just doing it for the hell of it.

And the offense still sucked, what's your point?

If Fat Goebells actually leaked Freeze to the media to start a groundswell of support for his hiring I will take back everything nasty I've ever said about the man.

If this is true and the BOS won’t hear the case for Freeze, then we know for sure just how far up the ladder the dysfunction goes.

I would change my tune on Orgeron in a heartbeat if he pushed for Freeze.

ETA with that said, there are quite a few lower PR risk hires that could be made before getting to Ensminger.

Not sure that will work. Have you read the reader's comments on that article? Lots of facebook fans talking about how we "don't need anyone like that".

Who cares? A&M tried to steal LSU's coach and they hired a Jimbo Fisher who basically allowed Jameis Winston to run amok at Florida St..

Bama would give a shite because they Freeze knows how to kick their arse.

LSU needs to take care of LSU. As long as Freeze doesn't break any rules or violate the terms of his NCAA show-clause, then LSU needs to make the best hire for their program. Freeze won't be the head man.

Or they're throwing Freeze's name out knowing they can't hire him then say "oh well we tried" and make the crappy hire they actually want to make.

Freeze is the poster child of dysfunction. As a fan, I would be okay with Giving him a shot at OC , but I can understand the administration using caution.

O and Alleva need this to work. They NEED to win. We will 10 regular season games next year with that brutal schedule and all is forgiven.

That's what I figured.

Gotta love politics the Louisiana way. Good ole boy networks run this state.
