Hugely tied in with the whole scene, but more importantly played and coached under 2 current major coaches. He guarantees that if Miles bolted, Pelini was a done deal for HC at LSU. He also said no doubt Miles was offered by UM.

Take it for what it's worth, but I have seen this guy come up with incredible inside info time and time again.

I'd rather have Miles than Pelinni.

belowpar had it right from the beginning. He said two weeks ago that Miles was staying and that Kragthorpe was the front runner and Miles choice. When belowpar speaks, people better listen.

No. But he also did confirm the Miles/Carr dislike and said there was basically no chance Miles was going to accept.

Miles was not gonna talk to Michigan without an offer - plain and simple not after the way it went down in 2007

Yeah, and he had one. Just not one that was ever really "serious".

So the whole conversation was essentially for Brandon to try to save face with the Michigan boosters (act like he was trying)?

That's what I thought the whole time and now it's been more or less confirmed to my satisfaction.

I like peliini but I would rather still have miles. Miles leaves I would assume chavis would be gone too especially with Bo being a defensive guy

No.

The Michigan AD was truly offering the job to Les Miles. Les Miles just knew he wasn't going to accept the job. Les used the Michigan job to gain assurance through his new contract that LSU can't fire him for the next several years.

And if the original statement is true, then I'm glad we kept Miles. I like Miles as a head coach better than Pelini.

I remember BP talking about Krags after 2009, as well.

But the Michigan AD also knew that Miles wouldn't accept it.

Also reserve the right to wait until no one gives a sh*t what my "sources" have to divulge.

I simply didn't talk to the guy until today. I see him about once per year. He invited me to attend spring practice of a major, relevant program. I told him, "no, i don't think your friend the coach would want LSU homers at those!".

Then I don't see the Michigan angle in all of this. Michigan looks like they got their 3rd choice at best (who knows how many guys turned them down behind the scenes). Harbaugh and Miles turned them down. How does that appease anyone in Michigan? Ya'll are saying that enough people in Ann Arbor wanted Miles so Brandon had to play a charade that he tried his best, but why wouldn't he just tell them that Miles wasn't coming? They wasted a lot of time going through with that if they knew all along Miles was staying. Is Brandon really that good of friends with Miles to say, "Hey buddy, I'll help you out down in Tiger Town by dragging my feet for a few days. We'll just keep Brady Hoke out on the West Coast twiddling his thumbs."
