I understand, and I think Napier is an OK coach. I just remember when he was at Clemson and was God awful. Everyone in upstate SC hated the man because his offense was atrocious. In his defense however, he was a much younger get play caller at the time and has improved. I still take Aranda all day, every day over Napier.

You may want to check the stats on that one young man. We won that game courtesy of Burrow and Company. Aranda's defense gave up over 40 points and 500 yards in this game and left most LSU fans scratching their head. This was not a game Aranda will ever put on his highlight reel.

That being said, I would rather Aranda than Napier, but there are multiple coaches I would prefer before either. I don't think either one of them have proven they have the chops to be a head coach at this level.

The talent wasn’t there when Napier was a young OC. The class Napier helped bring in really started to establish Clemson as a power. Dabo had a different philosophy than Napier and went out and got Morris as a part of getting rid of the coaches he inherited. There’s still some fingerprints of the offense he ran at Clemson in his current one but it’s obviously been refined a lot.

Aranda on the recruiting trail is why I don't want him.

Where is the evidence that he’s a bad recruiter other than comments made on this board? I’m still waiting on someone to prove he can’t recruit. His list of players he pulled to LSU is pretty impressive actually.

Amanda would be a home run hire.

"If" he is supported by great assistants who can recruit and coach.

Take out the punt return score and the trick play (even though you can technically pin that on Aranda because Stingley was looking to the sideline for the signal) the score wasn’t as close as the scoreboard. However, that late TD when we were in press man is on him.

Who thinks Napier is more qualified right now than Aranda?

He is not in no way shape or form. He reminds me of Miles. Loads of talent ans squeaking by against shitty teams.

This is the alternative reality infestation of the fanbase. Don't bother. They know better.

My apology. Ignore anything I said about Aranda.

Napier has never won his own division out right (as a Head Coach). LSU needs a huge hire and can’t afford to settle for anything less.
