3 from Missouri
1 from Georgia
1 from Texas

Last 3 classes:
13 from Florida

Campbell would be the most meh hire that I can possibly think of. This is LSU. We should not be looking in his direction. Frankly, no Big 12 coach is very appealing including Riley.

Let the downvotes commence, but deep down you know I am right.

You can't, in one breath, say how easy it is to recruit talent to LSU and how the state is full of SEC caliber athletes that are just dying to come to LSU... then in the next breath, say something like this:

quote:

Would be an absolute disaster! Dude is not interested in the type of recruiting that needs to be done at a school like LSU.

So is recruiting to LSU a built in advantage of the program, or is it super tough and requires a lot of effort?

Some of y'all need to make up your minds, it's crazy how much your language changes based on the coaches you personally want vs. don't want

I would have questions about his recruiting capability though. I've read he's not big into it which would make sense but you can't survive at a major program without being 50% into recruiting. It's everything. Some would even say it should be majority.

And you think you can replicate the success he's had at a shitty program like Iowa State without some lights-out recruiting, development, and hardcore research?

I'd argue that he actually has to recruit infinitely HARDER to somewhere like Iowa State than he would LSU, he has to dig deep and find the diamonds in the rough at a program like that in order to make them successful.

You're basically saying that recruiting to LSU is harder than ISU, when in reality it's the total opposite. If he can find studs that are being passed over by other programs enough to get them to Iowa, he can damn sure find studs to come to a top 10 program

Neither Riley nor Campbell would seriously consider the job, so you're in luck.

Campbell is waiting for a blue blood gig or the NFL.
