The dude is 10 times the coach as anyone else in staff. I presume he really does want to be HC one day and thinks lsu is his best bet for that.

Are you serious? He's the highest paid DC by far and now has the reins to take over. Why in the frick would he have went to Texas A&M? You think they are going to win a Natty anytime soon?

Regardless of what occurs, things arent nearly as dire as people who post here make it out to be.
If Aranda had left i would feel much differently, but the OC hire is negligable.
Ive never got the idea that Ensminger was the guy, but if he is i dont expect much of a difference in game planning. Its going to be ball control regardless of the choice.

I firmly believe he knows he has a real shot as an easy step into the HC job in a year or two. He knows the fan base would welcome it and O is on borrowed time
