"Untalented"? Dumb comment.

O is either stupid or incredibly loyal. Given his love for LSU, I’d lean towards being very loyal and committed to whatever it takes for LSU. If that’s the case, consider me very impressed.

According to The Advocate’s reporting, O is already making a convincing sell to recruits for LSU’s next head coach.

Maybe this is why he got the full buyout

I was only 13 when Saban was hired but I remember a ton of people hating the hire.

Woodward’s well orchestrated plan is LSU’s next coach having a top 5 recruiter, Ed Orgeron already installed.

Are you suggesting that there could be some type of role for Orgeron on the next staff????

It wasn't as easy to see as it is today, but you are 100% correct from what I remember. I was a student at the time and a lot of people thought we should have been able to hire Bobby Bowden, Butch Davis, or someone like that.....it was amazing the expectations that people had of that coaching search.

I don't think anybody at all thought that we hired the man that would become the best college football coach of all time.

Alot of people are reading too much into this.

No, Orgeron is not going to be hired as a recruiting coordinator or be on the next LSU coach's staff. Orgeron is employed by LSU until Nov. 30th, or until LSU's bowl game.
That means LSU's next coach has O still working the recruiting trail for him until O is no longer employed by LSU.

True, O is recruiting hard for LSU’s next head coach but only for the next few months, however no can always turn into a yes. That all depends on if the next coach and O really hit it off well. You just never know.

So tired of this BS take. Money affects the program regardless of who it belongs to. Just like Myles Brennan's injury affected the team even though it wasn't your arm.

Watching my school get broken down from the inside out makes me a pansy? ... Better hope & pray LA gets a conservative governor next time around, till then sit back & enjoy the show. The only SEC school that had COVID restrictions, till they looked at the revenue line. Ask students currently enrolled if things have changed much since the new President took over

How could one even begin to compare the two things? Competition is also much, much lower for UL. And the stakes are lower, so less pressure if you do lose. I mean, kudos to Napier, but to frame his success as "way better than any LSU coach has ever done" just reeks of ignorance.

You can just praise his efforts and let it speak for itself without extending it with such a suspect comparison.

if it’s Mel Tucker it’s gonna a lot more then 50% melt. I’d jack that up to at least 85% melt

Woodward will hire who Tate tells him to hire.... Stay woke, cause the downward spiral of LSU, not just athletics, is a lot closer than some realize

Woodward is making this hire all by himself!! If Tate messes around with this and he chooses a failure, then he, Woodward, et al are gone pecans!! Woodward did not sign up for this. Tate signed on as a minority & woke chief to be President of LSU, not the AD.

Island Tiger take

DO you wish harm to LSU?

Is that accurate? The Termination Agreement stated that a new employment contract would be executed contemporaneously, but I have yet to see it.

85%. Sounds about right. Mel Tucker will never come to LSU. Sure can’t blame him. 85%.
