Joker Phillips? Sam Pittman?
Why would you want old retread coaches?
I agree Golding could remain in Oxford if they wanted. But, sounds like they want to go after Sumrall for their next head coach. Not sure Golding would stay at Ole Miss then.
Other than that, I think many of those I mentioned would come with Kiffin, especially on the offensive side of the ball. And, this blend of coaches would keep top-tier recruiters from the current LSU staff

Orgeron and Moffitt will happen.

Kiffin will try everything he can to get Randall Joyner to coach the DL.

I’ve been told that Kyle Williams will probably not come back. His choice. Says players are soft and hates NIL.

Sam Pittman as an OL Coach? Yes. Sure he’s an old retread HC. He’s one of the best O-line coaches in the business. Joker Phillips may be a weak call. I can agree with most of your reasoning though.

Agreed.
If O wants to be on staff, I think he could really bring energy and passion for LSU ... something these youngsters being spoiled by NIL could benefit from. He also would likely still pay off as a valuable recruiter.
But, a technician like Joyner, with a recent track record of success, would be best on the field.

Sam's style does not match Kiffin's style. Garrison has already followed Kiffin before and knows exactly what Kiffin wants

Has Weis ever played a down of football himself ?

If his wife’s parents are still alive, Moffitt would come back to LSU tomorrow morning if asked.

Yes O brought us 2019 but he also brought this program down to its knees and he’s been paid handsomely to do so. He’s a loose cannon. Give me Kyle witch his hunger and desire vs someone who needs money 5 after after getting $17M, minus the ex’s donations.
I don't know how anyone can want O to be the recruiting coordinator. He is NOT a person to be in charge of, or to organize, anything as important as recruiting. He might have been okay dealing under the table twenty years ago, but the entire paradigm has changed.
There are other far more organized and intelligent people already in the program that are better qualified to be the recruiting coordinator. Orgeron might be a closer; maybe keep him around for his energy, but he's not a coordinator.

Yes, I see he played high school football . Kiffin probably hired him because Kiffin is actually the Head Coach and offensive coordinator ! Weis is offensive coordinator in name only. He just follows up and executes Kiffin’s plans and calls .
