Look, this is 'THE' Nick Saban..... no what year it happens or what day it happens, the honest truth is that it will happen the day of the press conference or the day after the press conference where he has announced that he will be remaining the head coach of Alabama and not retiring.

I think he stays at least 3 more years.

His career will end in a cloud of suspicion after a steriods scandal.

He will lose to a Les Miles coached Michigan team in the 2017 national championship and retire the next day.

He will ascend up onto Gump heaven!

That was before I was born, but I'm pretty sure everyone knew he was retiring the whole season
Not really. He announced his retirement after a particularly ugly loss to LSU in early November. Very few saw it coming, though some of his insiders knew he had some health problems.

FIFY, since they are the same place.
Joking aside, I don't see him retiring for quite a few more years. Guys like him have a drive to coach that simply can't be fulfilled as a talking head on TV. Spurrior talked about not working too hard too long, and yet he will be on the sidelines in Columbia next year at 70. They will carry Saban out essentially in a pine box.

Retirement would destroy Saban.

Exactly. I can't see Saban being able to handle just kicking around the lake house for the rest of his life. He'd go absolutely nuts. He'll coaching into his 70s, and retire when he absolutely has no more left in the tank. He's just not wired to be able to kick back and relax for any length of time.

Ditch "Miss Terry" as she is so affectionately called there & hook back up with Candy & live in one of his summer homes, yelling at the help.

3-5 years. Doctor tells him to leave the high stress situation. He goes for a victory lap at Kent St for a year

He goes out just like Woody Hayes. Punches a kid in the throat and basically decides its time to hang it up

I don't want to see him retire late like Bear did. He should go out on top leaving people wanting more and try to enjoy some life outside of football. whether that is 3 or 5 yrs I don't know?
Who knows if he is like Bear and only lives to coach?
