How sure are you about the next coach?

Let's have some fun. Pick any coach or combination of 2, 3, 4, etc. What odds would you give an opponent to bet the field against your pick(s)? The more you pick for your side, the better odds you have to give your opponent because he will have fewer chances to win.

So, you think the field has only one chance in four. That means if you wanted the three you named, you would think betting odds of 3:1 would be breakeven. If the bet was $300 vs. $100, the field would break even if it won $300 once and lost $100 three times. In order to get someone to take the bet, they would have to believe they could win more than once in four tries.
So, what I meant was pick however many you want, then state the odds you would offer an opponent to take the field. See what I mean?

I think Larry Fedora has a much better shot than people are giving him.

They do it with horse race odds all the time. The percentages and payouts can be adjusted

He will keep losing in San Fransisco. The NFL caught up to his scheme, and he doesn't have enough offensive talent to get the job done.

LSU is open. There were credible rumors up here (Philadelphia media market) claiming Kelly reached out to LSU. I'm not going to pretend to be an 'insider,' but if you're interested in a job in '15, you'll likely be interested in that job in '16.
I still think Chip Kelly is the next coach of the LSU football team.

I know there's always someone who knows someone, so take this fwiw. But, we spent NYE in Key West this year and while patronizing the Hogs Breath Saloon one afternoon, in walks Chip Kelly's group. These weren't all coaches but also some childhood friends as well. Sat and drank with them for a good while and while no specifics were discussed, the general sentiment was he would be very interested in the LSU job if it came open. As was said, there are things to work out with SF if that were to be the path but the LSU job is def on CK's radar. Again, take it fwiw.
