How many of you were honestly happy when Jimbo left LSU for Florida State?

I remember a lot of fans couldn't wait till he leaves, they thought he was too conservative and the main problem of LSU offense.

why Miles got so conservative after that is beyond me, but he has no one to blame for his current circumstances but himself.

I will admit I didn't appreciate him as much until he left. Turns out Saban and Miles were holding him down while at LSU.

I remember the LSU fans telling the FSU fans on the board.
"I hope you like the bubble screen."
When there were many years here LSU couldn't complete a fricking bubble screen to save its life.

I saw Jimbo before and after Les Miles. He was different after miles. Even at FSU his O was different than when he left here. Particularly with him stating "we should've beaten Auburn by 21 points" in '06 tells me one thing...Miles had his seal-clapping hands in the mix.

Miles brought Miles offense when he came to LSU. That was not Jimbo's offense during Miles tenure and anyone who followed LSU closely could tell.

Just my opinion of course, but I think that 2008 season filled with all those pick 6's did some psychological damage to Les Miles. After that 08 season Miles seemed to lose that "Lesticles" swagger he had up until then. He became way more conservative after that except for rare occurrences like the 2010 LSU - Bama game.

I loved Jimbo here at LSU as the OC. The only game I recall in my life I questioned him was 2006 at Auburn where we lost 7-3...with all that talent. There were some parameters in that game that were unorthodox, but no team should have been able to hold LSU to three that year.

And then after the 4th OC, we realized that Miles was actually the one playing it conservative and handcuffing his offense.
If you've watched FSU's offense lately, it's not the same as 2005-2006 Jimbo.

Without going back and watching film, there wasn't a great deal of difference statistically in Jimbo's 5 years under Saban and last 2 under Miles. And there's always other variables like personnel, TOP and the defense's ability to get the ball back in the offense's hands and Saban has a larger sample size.
