I am curious about the LSU fan perspective on this.

It seems more anger is about the AD than coach O.

Is the AD there for much longer?

Is Coach O a placeholder to see if he can pull it off until the AD leaves?

If that were the case, I would think it might be wise to keep Coach O either way short term if there was a good chance a new AD might be coming in and want to make their own hire.

His overall record as a head coach is 30-21... you want to go hire a coach who is just over .500 in the MAC? Really?

1-11
8-5
8-5
13-0

Notice a trend under Fleck?

I know the reference.

But Walter is wrong AND he's an a-hole.

What am I supposed to be mad at O for? Wanting the job?

I hope that's not the case. He's an arrogant prick. I'll never understand why we hired him after what he did at Duke. He's run both of our basketball programs into the ground. Hopefully Mainieri doesn't leave any time soon so he can't frick up the baseball program too.

I mean, I guess that's what we have to hope for now.

Yeah I would have felt much better then and much better now had LSU interviewed a whole bunch of coaches that I didn't want!

I would think most people with influence in LSU athletics would be displeased with what has happened to LSU football and basketball.

How is it he is still the AD?

It's not amazing at all once you consider that Alleva was in charge of the hiring.

Yeap! Louisiana reelected a Governor after he admitted to and bragged about being a crook and was hoping he would run for office again once he got out of prison.

Houston is interviewing: 2 OCs, 1 DC and two unemployed coaches. I think Alleva had a better pool to chose from.

And btw, PJ Fleck won at fricking Western Michigan.

Orgeron didn't win anywhere, unless you want to include a few wins from teams he didn't build.

LSU most definitely has a better pool to choose from. They have the money, resources, tradition, and talent in state to go after any coach in the country besides Saban, Meyer, Harbaugh. And we didn't interview anybody but O? Ridiculous

We had a coach agree to a deal (Herman) then Texas became available so are you telling me if Herman was hired you would be wondering why we didn't interview 5 guys like Houston this weekend?
