How about Mike Stoops?

Supposedly his job is on the line this weekend if he doesn't win at Arizona, if he loses it would be his 5th non winning season, What do you think about Mike Stoops for D.C. at LSU

I find it highly unlikely Miles and Stoops would get along given the animosity between brother Bob Stoops and Miles, but I certainly would love the hire of Mike Stoops as DC ... I'll be rooting for Arizona State this weekend just in case!

His job is not on the line. His team this year has shown lots of improvement over last years, and that is what they were looking for.

arizona has improved since his arrival. like i said in the butch davis thread, why would you leave a conference where the path to a bcs bowl is a hell of a lot easier than the sec.

If he becomes available I would be doing everything I could to generate some interest. Per another thread Miles has apparently settled on his #1 choice for DC.

I think Stoops' job is certainly on the line this weekend. Many thought he was going to get fired after last season, but they decided to give him another chance. This year, fans were expecting 8 or 9 wins, and they are 6-5 right now. If they lose to ASU again, I think he's gone. The question is, would he and Les get along?? But I'd certainly love to have him.
