Hog fans: What are the chances Willy is replaced?

I honestly have no clue, personally I think it's time for him to go but who could we get to replace him? Would Caldwell being promoted be an option?

Throw big money at Mike Stoops or Randy Shannon.

Sadly I think not likely. Feel like if there was a good chance of it we would have more rumblings by now. Petrino is a tough read tho when it comes to this stuff.
Also dont think Caldwell should even be considered with the way our D Line played this year.

5-10%. Although his contract runs out this year so now would be the time to do it.

Decent shot, I guess. He is in the last year of his contract.
Edit: If Willy was let go, the top target might be the Packers DB coach.

I'm mildly surprised no Hog fan has been monitoring his phone records for dirt to use

i think that is reserved for assholes who get their friends to send emails harassing freshman qb's.

Willy needs to be sent packing after this year. His recruiting sucks, and his "schemes" are too complicated for college kids. Just recruit athletes, put them in the weight room, and teach them how to properly tackle.

There might be just a tad more to it than that, especially in the SEC.

He has recruited some good talent.
The defensive playbook is a Bobby Petrino product...

If we got 50 hung on us in the Cotton Bowl by an Okie school he would probably get canned.
Not sure if that is worth getting him fired or not

Willy is a sub standard recruiter. His specialty is the secondary, and our secondary for the most part is trash. A freshman is our best corner. Tackling on our team is a fricking joke. We regressed this year despite bringing back more talent and experience. He has had four years to prove his worth, and he proved that he isn't the man for the job.

He has recruited better players than other certain coaches on the staff...

I agree, but there are other position coaches who also are not carrying their weight...

Willy?
Dude barely gets out and recruits.

Correction: The playbook is improvised to fit the players he had once coming to Arkansas. He would much rather run a 3-4 Defense.

I assume you're talking about Reggie Johnson?

Tevin Mitchell, Rudell Crim, Anthony Leon, Brandon Mitchell, Jerry Mitchell, Ross Rasner...
He is no Tim Horton/McGee, but he isn't exactly Reggie Herring either...

Not only.
Let's put it this way, if the same effort/results occurred on the defensive side of recruiting as we have had on the offensive side we wouldn't be having the conversation.

Bobby Allen is somebody that isn't pulling his weight in my opinion. Our d-line play could be much better. Steve caldwell has a nice reputation, but our defensive ends dont know anything other than a speed rush. Our secondary is a bend and definitely break squad.
I just want our defense to have an identity. One that doesn't involve people running away from contact, taking bad angles, and refusing to turn and look for the ball.
Willy needs to go and he can take a couple mother frickers with him.

John L. Smith, FTW on that one.

C'Mon, he didn't beat out any powerhouses for these.
Crim, Leon and Mitchell were Robinson though.
FWIW, I believe we should go out and find a new DC, or promote Caldwell and go find a great DB coach.
There's been a few names tossed around behind the scenes for a new DC.
Joe Whitt Jr
Mike Gillhamer
Dick Bumpas
Vic Koenning
Whitt Jr and Gillhamer worked with Petrino at UL.
Also the talk of possible making a run at Randy Shannon, but i doubt that one.
