Would Arkansas fans be open to the idea of bringing back John Thompson to coach defense? He is currently the DC for Bill Curry at Georgia State...sort of an older defensive mentor.

fricking this. Our DB's are some lightweight pussies. Quit playing 5 yards off and sitting in a catchers stance to make tackles. Come up and hit someone, good things happen like fumbles and incomplete passes. Tramains play against LSU is about the only time we did this all year.

Ahhh. Yeah it would be nice to have a guy that can actually teach proper secondary techniques.

Ideally, move Allen to an administrative position on the staff, fire Willy, I'm not sure if Johnson is worth retaining, may not be. Give Caldwell the entire line, Hire a badass DC let him coach whatever position he is good at, then hire badass position coaches who can and will recruit to fill out the staff. Profit.

Looking at the LSU game, it seemed to be that there was A LOT of standing around by the Arkansas defense, particularly in the secondary. Instead of swarming the ball carriers, I saw several plays were defenders just "assumed" that the tackle would be made and gave up.
Not sure if its necessarily the athletes. As someone said earlier, maybe its just lack of "identity"

I don't know, they are not consistent enough from game to game to be able to say "x" is the problem.
