and in the last few years you have seen how everyone I employ plays me like a fool. My football coach left me three years ago and never looked back making me wait for days to tell me if he loved me or not? Then he left on a plane and never came back. Realizing he made a mistake he started dating my rival. Before that I hired another coach and now I am allowing him to make me wait and tell me whether he wants to stay employed or leave. On top of that he is allowing his staff to seek out job opportunities as they please. All this after we lose a game that cost us the National Championship at home on Senior day to an unranked team. To make matters worse we are not preparing for "OUR NEXT BIG GAME" for the confrence championship. If you know anyone else who would like to coach here at their leisure, leave whenever they want, and not make a decision unitl it benefits them and screws me, please have them call NO BALLS BERTMAN at 999 nevermind. After you read this, how can you say we do not look stupid to the rest of the college football world. Its no wonder that LSU is looking like a stepping stone job for the new era of coaches.

Alot of people on the RANT think I am wrong, but goddamit we are a NATIONAL POWER acting like a scared schoolgirl who may lose her prom date. WE R LSU. We dictate who does what. The coaches work for the school not the opposite. I can't believe that some fools on this board are making excuses for MILES, BO and BERTMAN.

How many of us could go and interview for other jobs like that? We would get fired.

As I stated before Coaches can section these things off in their brain.

Let me ask you this. On Game weekend Les Miles told a recruit host to go home and he would personally escort that day. That recruit talked how Les drove it all around campus and he just loved it.

Now this occurs all the time. However none of us are ever concerned that Coaches are spending too much time trying to impress 17 years the day before or hours before the game. Yet for some reason if Miles makes a couple of phone calls to Michigan we all go bonkers and yell distractions

The reason why the Coaches can do this is that they can handle like a million things at once. LSU is much more than 3 or 4 coaches. It is a whole staff of coaches whose names we never have heard of. It involves trainers and even office staff in the football complex. Everyone of which has been instructed to that if they come in contact with a player what the MESSAGE IS.

So lets all calm down.

And what by chance happens if we get schooled on Saturday? Are you still gonna defend MILES? My heart wants LSU to win, but if this will put an end to MILES and the way BERTMAN handles business ( or hould I say avoid making decisions) I can handle the loss. maybe then some of you blind fools will understand that you only let your employees get away with what you want them to get away with. Every successful corporation refuses to let the employees run the company the way they see fit.

If your wife tells you she may want to go live with her boyfriend but she will let you know next week are goign to wait? YES or NO

If your employee tells you that he cant finish his work because he has another job interview will you let him stay employed? YES or NO

If yopu answer yes to both you lose all the time. If you answer No you lose initially but win in the end! ITS REALLY SIMPLE

If we get schooled because of distractions of a coaching search no I will not defend that. However I am not going to assume that happened unless there is facts to show it.

We are walking in there wounded. RP might start and be a huge flop. That has nothing to do with Coaching interviews. There are a million other concerns and factors that are more likey going to contribute to a loss if it happens than that.

I guess the difference is if we lose I will look for why we lost and not jump to a conclusion. Because if we jump to the wrong one then that doesnt help us for the Bowl game afterwards.

And by the way, what things were sectiones off in the brain by our coaches use last FRIDAY? I'll give you a hint. We got sectioned off the whole game. Ask RP, the defense, the prodecure calls, etc. Is that enough sectioning for you? Its called the student section and we don't pay coaches to section things off to others. We pay them to win MUST GAMES at home against inferior unranked teams

NO its not that simple. College Football is quite a bit differnt world.

LEt me give you another example. Your employer often doesnt fire you if you are a success. Well we just saw that at Southern Miss!!

We are an employer that is emotional and on whim eats our Coaches alive. Needless to say we are not running something akin to the electric company here with Unions

How much more looking do you need. Their is no focus, no leadership, and no loyalty to the program by any one other then the players. If you were a player and saw all this going on what woudl you think? I will not say that any of our coahces have the right to improve their careers. BUT NOT DURING THE SEASON! and the season is not over until SATURDAY. Take it or leave it, but I do not see any other program playing for a conference championship letting their coaches interview this week. shite UCLA want to look at Ken Norton JR, but I dont see USC letting him drive across town and interview? Its called professionalism. And as a professional you honor you current job until its completed. The you have the liberty to look elsewhere when you goals and tasks are completed.

If you are angry about the game fine. At some point you got to start letting it go some I believe. BUt if you don't fine. However it does no one any good nor the team to proclaim Coaching Distractions were the cause of that loss when they might have not been. True it makes us feel better but at what cost. If they were not the cause then we have succeed in not finding what the true sickness was.

There is a big difference between diagnosing a problem and making a scapegoat for our anger.

Bayou, if it is true that Les and Michigan spoke today and they are working out his contract now, well, that is piss poor when you have a conference championship to play in on Saturday.

Coaches are not gods, but people. They make mistakes and they lose focus, etc. When people know they are leaving a company, they tend to slack off in their work. Their focus is not on that job anymore, but rather their next. It's only human to be that way, but we also can make demands as well. Out of respect to his current employer, he should have waited. I don't care if it's his "dream job." The kids playing at LSU dreamed of playing at LSU. He, and the assistants, need to act more like adults and not 20 year olds.
