THere is nothing to indicate that Les is violating any morals or ethics or whatever

This is how its done. You will not get quality assistants at LSU in the future if you hold them to your standards

Anyway, I have seen the loyalty that fans have toward both players and Coaches. I have seen this board devote themselves to a player or a aCoach and when he has a bad game they throw them under the bus and call him garbage.

THese Coaches live in a world were there condiitions of employment and stability of that employment is getting shorter and shorter and very much more under threat. So while I understand where you are coming from. I have a hard time buying it because the fans can be just a big of a JUDAS than any of these coaches.

It is the nature of the beast. It is what it is.

SOCAL, I hear you, understand your passion about this, and part of me agrees with you, but the timing part of this whole mess cuts both ways.

Yes, it sucks that it's a distraction...but if Les is gone, don't you want a deal done as soon as possible so that LSU as a football program (recruiting) can move on? Once we lost to Arkansas the sacrosanctity (I had to look that up) of our coaching staff - with respect to job hunting - evaporated.

I also think that time-wise, Coach Miles has probably devoted very little real time to pursuing the Michigan job this week. He has most likely indicated his interest to his agent (or whoever arranges things like this) and gone back to work. At least I hope so. As for Pellini, I'd imagine his head is more out of the game because - if hired - he's finally a made man. I think that'd be a much bigger distraction.

Long story short: it is what it is, and if what it is is Coach Miles in the maize and blue, then I'd rather it come sooner than later.
