And chances are USC sees itself as a different animal out West. Swann and company could give Helton at least another year and then grab a guy with more NFL credentials.
But if USC decided to act fast, it might be for Chip Kelly, presuming he bails on the 49ers to the safety of college ball after what could be a dumpster fire season.
