LSU has had 3 championship for every in-state mullet haircut you have to play.

C'mon down.

It should be as simple as: "Hey, Lincoln, it's been 21 years since anyone actually won a championship at OU. Whereas, the last 3 coaches at LSU each won a championship and the last two coaches were tards."

This right here. “Lincoln, the fricking Shrimp boat captain won a natty here. What do you think YOU could do?”

I'm not sure why most here think they want Riley, or anyone else from an already-established blueblood program. You have no idea how great of a coach they actually are, when they inherited a program that recruits itself and is already one of the top winningest programs of all time.

Coaches like Riley basically inherited a badass muscle car from their dad, and all they've done since is simply maintain it and keep it running smoothly. They have no idea how to totally rebuild the engine or change the transmission, it already had the latest and greatest in it when dad passed it down.

Right now, LSU's badass muscle car from 2019 is broken down on the side of the road.

Then you have coaches like Napier and Chadwell that built their cars by hand, piece by piece and they're running well. They may not be the Chevelle SS muscle cars out there, but they're running smoothly and chewing up the miles while LSU sits on the side of the road broken. The likes of Napier and Chadwell know what to do when their cars are overheating and can fix it on the spot.

Who would you want help from if you were LSU sitting on the side of the road in your badass muscle car? The guy that inherited the pristine and totally restored muscle car from his dad and has simply kept it running for the last 4-5 years, or the guy that built his well-oiled machine from the frame up that isn't the fastest but runs reliably?

LSU is broken, and they need a guy that knows how to meticulously build it from the frame up. A guy that has a process and organization and a method to his progress, not the guy that simply maintained something that was already built.

I have zero connection to Napier, nor do I think he's the best answer.

But I don't think anyone truly knows what he, or someone like him that's successful at a lower level, are truly capable of. You also have no idea how great of a coach someone like Riley truly is when they inherited a top program and didn't have to face adversity or build shite.

LSU needs someone that knows how to build from the ground up and change the attitude in the locker room. Not sure someone that inherited a blueblood program that was on autopilot would know how to do that or turn things around.

But you keep being angry for no reason, even though I'm right. You simpletons just want to focus on W-L records without context and big names from top programs even though they may not be the best at actual coaching or getting the most out of their rosters.

Lincoln, your coming into the SEC, the Super Power league, that has won over half the national championships in the BCS-CFP era.

Now you can try to do this with 1 time champs OU, but wouldn’t it really be better to pick LSU that has fought through the SEC West to win 3 championships?

Better recruiting, facilities, food, and money.

All valid points but you don't mention their current employer. You just don't. Can you illustrate those things? Absolutely. But, you illustrate them from your own advantages and not by pointing out the disadvantages OU will have.

Great points all around

Why stop there, show pics of Coach O as well. They didn't look the part.

LSU doesn't attract those kind of coaches. Never has, never will.

We've never had an AD like Woodward before.

I wouldn’t want Riley. He strikes me as someone that will be a NFL coach in 1-3 years. I doubt Joe Brady ever coaches in college again. The NFL seems to be shying away from hiring retreads and actively seeking out bright young offensive minds from college. Look at the Cardinals coach. He was fired at Texas Tech. Went to USC to be their OC, then out of the blue was announced HC of the Cardinals. I thought that was an odd hire but the Arizona Cardinals are tearing it up now.
