IF it's ensminger, Alleva is allowing O to fail and it's planned.

It’s because the majority of the posters on this board are uninformed 20 something’s who catch an occasional thread and say “OMG we’re hiring Ensminger as OC?!?” No one has been hired yet. No decision has been made. There is no confirmed info. Someone said they are interviewing assistants this weekend, but that’s all they know. Then we’ll end up with a legit hire, and they’ll bitch about that too after the first incomplete pass next year. Around and around we go. Just let the process play out and see who we get.

Brother I’m nowhere near 20 but you either aren’t paying attention to the situation or are absolutely delusional.

^^^this. I’m not much of a conspiracy theorist but even Joe Alleva couldn’t make such a shitshow under his own power.

Find proof. Get him fired with cause and LSU can sue and then get something on the REC/Gump working with Saban's past La. contacts. There is another way..But I won't geaux there...LOL!

This cant possibly be true. If so, I'll be disappointed they couldn't find a top notch OC to hire... who knows, guess we have to wait and see if this sauce is right

Hope season ticket holders are thinking of getting rid of tickets and stopping all donations. If not, they are the problem

another that was a 73 year old retired NFL receivers coach.

That was on staff and our receivers got worse than they were. Just plain stupid.

these 2 things don't go together, especially with this

Wiki already has Ensminger as OC.

LINK

Before LSU, he was interim OC at Auburn in 2008 which included a 0-36 loss to Alabama.

Remember when ULL beat A&M? Guess who called plays for A&M then

He's just not good at calling plays and his history has already proven that.

It just makes no sense to me that O would even want Ensminger. Why? What’s the appeal?

Loyalty, not wins, not Q.B. development, but loyalty. O has said it many times.

don't forget security

E is no threat to de-throne O

if a guy like Canada was having success and there was a rift, there's a chance the fanbase sided with Canada over O

that's literally how O ended up with this job after he stabbed Miles in the back and politicked his way to the big payday

Ensminger is no threat

You rally are an idiot. SE running Miles offense scored 10 total points against the only two defenses with a pulse we played. And that was with 2 first round draft picks at RB. Folks, this won't change until the Turtle, FKing and Alleva are all sent packing. Want to blame anyone, blame all the Republican women that voted for JBE bc they didn't like Vitter's personal life. I firmly believe Vitter would have canned FKing by now, and anyone with half a brain in that job isn't going to have JA in charge of their athletic program.

ETA: season tickets holders, ESPECIALLY corporate holders, need to quit buying tickets and attending games. An empty stadium doesn't send a strong enough message if LSU has already collected the revenue. The BOS is largely populated by idiots, but they couldn't have paid for those spots unless they could read a bottom line.

I am just not sure why the LSU administration/Alleva is letting this happen. I know they read the message boards and the overwhelming negative reaction to a hire like this. I mean unless they have an offense that is in the top 20 people are going to say it failed because it was not what was promised. You would think Coach O and Alleva would see this and not double down but oh well.

So LSU fired the most successful HC in history(It was time for him to move on I agree) only to hire HIS defensive line coach(which I have publicly stated I hated from the time he was announced) that had a putrid record as a HC previously.

LSU hired the "Best OC" in the country ONLY to fire him a season later because Coach O got mad because Canada didn't like him interfering with the offense like he was promised he wouldn't.

LSU then turns around and hire's the Tightends coach as Co-OC along with the Receivers Coach/consultant. (Allegedly)

I mean would possibly could go wrong with this scenario?

I now fully expect Ensminger and Sullivan to be named Co-OC.

Lets just get this over with so we can go 7-5 next season and get a new regime in here. frick this is awful and I hate Joe Alleva for this.

O stabbed Miles in the back? What? Miles got himself fired. Period. Canada was doing nothing special. It was the most predictable offense in college football, at any level. How many jet screens were actually successful? A dozen? How many got completely blown up? It was literally Miles offense with jet sweeps / useless lotion stapled to it.

From reports, other candidates were looked at and shot down by the board. I would rather them promote a safe choice instead of hiring a medicore, overrated (see Canada) OC that they will replace with someone better next year without having to pay buyout money (see Canada) again.

Wiki also had Gilbert listed as the new OC Friday night, but that info was gone on Saturday.

Yep, LSU hired the worst coach in Ole Miss history to replace the most successful coach in LSU history. Think about that for a minute.

This is so Louisiana though.

Stop being complacent.

A safe hire is not yhe guy who hasn’t been a offensive coordinator in a decade and has failed each time he was afforded the opportunity to one.
