i looked over his stats at Tulsa, expecting to see some gaudy Texas Tech like numbers, but they were astoundingly average, essentially the same that we have under Crowton.
I would have taken 73rd in total offense this year...

Some people are not meant to be HC. Some OC can only work well if they have a ton of talent to execute the plays.

Im not saying I think he is the best we can get, but he will be better than Crowton. Plus, his offensive line sucked while he was the HC at Louisville.

Offenses improved when he left Tulsa.

Might have something to do with Malzahn, who got there immediately after Kragthorpe; and had Tulsa leading the nation in total offense.

I don't think he would be as bad as Crowton here. People put too much stock into what these guys do as head coaches. I try to not even look at that. I like to see their results when just focused on offense. And while it isn't stellar, it isn't bad.

I have a bud that is a Louisville fan and he had no kind words at all to say about Krag. He basically told me if LSU wants to tank the entire program then Krag is our man.

well, yearly rankings are pretty arbitrary.

add up his time at Tulsa and AM and he averaged 372ypg.

in his 4 years at LSU, Crowton averaged 363ypg.
