Hearing that Willie Fritz is probably staying at Tulane

Yes I know Ed Daniels isn’t the greatest Tulane source, but it makes sense. Arkansas’ man is obviously Matt Campbell and Missouri needs to make a splash hire to get out of the dumps. No SEC program is going to be patient enough to wait out his 4 year brick-by-brick rebuild.
He should probably see things through at Tulane for the time being, keep the recruiting class in tact, then bolt for a better job at the end of next season

My mistake, I don’t follow Arkansas I just kept reading on this board that it’s Matt Campbell or bust. Since Leach just signed an extension too, who’s their top candidate. Joey Freshwater?

I understand Fritz has to leave at some point, he deserves a better opportunity. He took over a horrible situation at Tulane and did a pretty good job. I would hope he doesn’t take the Arkansas job though, it’s a fricking death sentence right now.

I'm not sure why everyone is thinking Arkansas is going for Fritz if Kiffin doesn't end up there. By most accounts there are other G5 coaches above him at the very least.

No, it wasn't. The majority were saying he was at the top of the list and that he might listen to us. Nothing more outside of the usual made up shite about "it's a done deal" that happens every coaching search. It's been Campbell and Kiffin for a while now, and now that Campbell signed an extension it's Kiffin.
btw, even if someone said Campbell was coming here, that's not the same thing as "Campbell or bust."
