Hawaii's head coach has a .538 winning pct at Hawaii, is in the top 10 of the coaching hot seat and it was announced today they are under investigation for a point shaving scandal.

It is when a coach or a player deliberately plays the game to cover/not cover the spread or the over/under. It usually requires that the player or coach involved has some sort of financial interest in the team only winning by a certain margin.
In other words, Vegas gives out an over/under and a spread for each game, and it is assumed the two teams in the contest will go out there and try to beat each other fairly. When one team, coach, or player tries to manipulate the game to meet a certain bet, then he is guilty of point shaving.
