Vic Fangio is one of the best DC's out there right now imo. He's totally remade Stanford's defense with almost no talent. If Harbaugh was moving, it's hard to imagine that he wouldn't take Fangio with him

JH was on SVP a little while ago. Started off the interview saying you have to build a program around strong-willed, tough-minded winners. Then the questions about Michigan came up and he protesteth alot and stuff. "Now you're starting to badger me."

Their main admin said *today* that, gun to his head, he doesn't see JH as their coach next year. Saying again that more and more people see him at the 49ers. His ex and kids live in PA near OH border so they aren't an issue. He gets big incentives for coaching in a BCS game so nothing will happen until he coaches in it.
What he will say is that JH wants the UM job more than anything, even the NFL.

I have a feeling that they are just trying to keep this shite secret and that JH will be the guy if JH wants it, because they say that no one at UM would oppose it or have the power to stop it from happening. Otherwise they seem content with RR for one more year with defensive changes.
