I have some semi decent sources that are telling me Les is on his way out. I won't claim it as fact, but just forward what I've heard. I have no idea about Michigan's end for him.

What are you going to do if it does? You almost seem invested in this.

That is th biggest straw man I've ever seen on this site. This 1976 guy is a major tool obv.

More than a few talking heads have said that the wife loves the West Coast & does not want to leave. That is what is making the Raider job seem practical to NFL insiders.

Why would Harbaugh, who has been very successful in the NFL, leave the NFL to go back to coaching college football? what would be the main reason?

you never said "I think he prefers college to the pros"... you stated very matter of factly: "He prefers college to the pros".
that is why people are following up with you. do you not realize that?

Harbaugh ain't taking a 3 + million dollar pay cut to coach at UM.
Not to mention, he's been successful in the NFL
But I'll ask the same of you...what are you gonna do if he doesn't?

Michigan needs to literally hand him a blank check. He could have them back at the top in a year or two.

Not to mention, why would a school that has paid under market for its last three coaches and insists that their guys take pay cuts for the privilege of coaching there, now all of a sudden start offering WAY more than anyone else makes as a college coach?
The answer, of course, is they wouldn't and haven't.

Maybe for Lloyd. RichRod was paid market value, and Hoke was paid way way way above market value. For fricks sake, he made 4.1 Million last year.

I'm strictly talking about what his worth is, in the NFL.
now
Which would be $7-9 million per year

You might want to review those contracts again. Also, let's be clear, when I say market value, I'm not talking about a methodology where you take the 129 FBS teams and use a mean, median, or mode and rank those guys against it. I'm strictly talking about taking the top 15 or 20 jobs and paying a coach similar to comparable jobs as being market value. Everyone, to my mind, considers Michigan a top job. They do not pay like a top job. That's just the facts right now. Maybe that changes this time around, but I doubt it.
Last time around, the scuttlebutt was that they would offer Les the job if he would take less money. Now that was probably a face saving way to non-offer him the job, but still try. Then they paid that buffoon Hoke on a crazy incentive laden deal that put him in like the $3 million dollar range over the 6 years he was committed.

Richrod was the 13th highest paid coach in the country, and Brady was 9th last year.

Make sure that Richrod's figure does not include the amounts paid to WVU in his compensation. Same with Hoke. Otherwise, just add the buyout amounts to everyone's deals and re-rank them.
