Not for nothing, but it is fairly ordinary negotiation practice to walk away with cold feet for no reason to get the other party to bid higher.

Les, that next phone call might be mom.

Please be a good son and pick it up.

why do people think theres all of these super elite possibilities out there for HC?

Im not the biggest Les fan but I know LSU is better off keeping him now and getting a top notch OC.

I tend to agree with this statement but, at the same time, I hold out a small glimmer of hope that LSU's elite football program can sooner rather than later be led by a someone who is capable of, say, recognizing that play/game clock management has been a recurring issue for at least 6 years now and developing a plan for addressing this issue and not allowing it to cost us any more wins/embarassment, among other things of which the current regime is severely deficient performance-wise.

I agree but in exchange for that you get Miles amazing luck.

That was exactly the situation last year. Miles had a chance to hire a top-notch OC last year and he didn't.

And there's no guarantee he will this year either. There appears to be absolutely no urgency in getting one.

That said, good luck in the the Big Ten.

You'll have far more success there than in the SECW.

my first choice is well documented, but i would have to think itd be gary patterson or bust. he has a senior laden team, senior QB, he would be wise to pounce when his stock is about as high as its ever going to get.

If Pattersen says no, then what? Much better to keep Miles imo.

SEC Coaching Records:
Meyer 65-15 81.25%
Chizik 21-5 80.77%
Miles 61-17 78.21%
Saban 91-27 77.12%
Richt 96-34 73.85%
Spurrier 166-60 73.45%
Petrino 23-14 62.16%
Nutt 97-64 60.25%
Mullen 14-11 56.00%
Phillips 6-6 50.00%
Dooley 2-10 16.67%

Miles has also gone 3-3 against Meyer and 2-2 against Saban.

No matter how you feel about Miles, he wins.
