Gundy is an excellent coach that's realistic. People who wouldn't be excited about Gundy are straight up FOOLS. Not liking Gundy because Les coached OSU previously is just about the dumbest fricking thing I've ever read.

Is there any way LSU outbids T Boone?

I'm gonna choose to be happy though because this sounds like O is completely out of the running

Gundy is a really good coach.

Agreed. Gundy is not bad at all. I'm not sure i would like his lack of Defense, but i can definitely see putting him about Fedora.

Still pissed at Okie St for missing out on the 2012 BCS NC.

What about Justin Fuente? Anything on him? I'd rather him over Fedora anyway.

I'm a Memphis native and still live in North MS. I LOVE what he did there, and he has acquitted himself well in his first year at VA Tech. However, the track record is still a little on the thin side. He looks great, but I'm still not sure if LSU should pull that trigger. I guess if it's between Gundy and Fedora, he deserves consideration.

If he is interested in listening, I would reach out to Franklin at PSU. He probably won't leave, but he has a track record in the SEC, and has proven himself at PSU at this point. It took a few years, but that program had one hell of a dark cloud hanging over it when he got there. He finally has them headed in the right direction.

No. Gundy will have to be leaving for the coaching opportunity he sees in LSU. He's born and raised Oklahoma and Okie St alma mater.

Dave Aranda is also 40, and I hear he can coach pretty good.

I'm in Oklahoma. As things stand right now, Boone might pay LSU to take him. Lots of friction between the two.

Given that Texas is botching their search so far, I'm disinclined to believe that they have something set up with Herman.

Which is why I find it odd that landing Herman looks "slimmer" as the days pass, especially if the deal falls through with Jimbo. If the deal falls through, why wouldn't we take all that money we were going to throw at Jimbo and throw it at Herman?

Something isn't adding up.
