I still think you reach out to Fuente and Franklin through backchannels and see what they say. Probably a waste of time with Franklin, but maybe not with Fuente. I would bet that LSU could outbid VA Tech in a variety of ways.

I wanted Fuente last year if Jimbo wasn't coming. I feel like he can do a lot better than VT, but I guess we'all find out if he's really got it.

Not really. They didn't have depth. Strong was purging the first two years, and it was only the last two years in which he buckled down on recruiting. The biggest fallacy at Texas right now is their talent, because it's just not there.

It'll be there next year.

They return 18 starters right? And Charlie has recruited pretty well the last 2 years. If they pull together a top 20 class this year, which I think they will regardless of who the coach is, they will be sitting in a decent spot to win the Big 12.

Im calling it now. Random is a plant from the big boys upstairs to scatter misinformation and throw suspicion away from our next coach Tom Herman. Things are way too quiet on that front and it doesnt make sense.

Logic and reason makes it an easy prediction: Jimbo Fisher will be LSU's next coach.

But I agree there is a TON of disinformation floating around right now that makes you go "hmmmmm""... And always seems to bring me back to Herman.

Why is Texas scrambling if they've got their man?

oh so we're a self-sustaining program now, 5 stars and tier 1 DCs will just wait in the hallway and all we have to do is show up and be great? where did you hear this, from your "inside sources"?

All the signs are pointing to Fisher. Just saying that might be intentional.(only halfway serious) Its just weird how quiet things are about Herman to LSU. He's obviously a top 2 option and we've obviously talked to him at some point. I doubt he just gave a flat out no, not interested. But thats the only thing that would kill that option.

I find that odd, as well. People keep saying that Herman is out, or a very long shot, or something to that effect. Yet no one has offered a shred of substantiation to that, or given any reason why that might be.

Ouch. Gotta give VA Tech credit for that. That's a big poison pill to have to swallow.

Are they magically going to learn how to cover a wide receiver and tackle?

It's a highly sought after position and money really isn't as much of an obstacle there, as it is in some places. Recruiting is easy, money is there.

Totally agree. It is somewhat strange. Even if Jimbo was your guy, you'd want all signs pointing somewhere else, especially given what happened last Nov.

I still think Fisher, but if it's not, I believe it's been Herman all along.

Seemingly weird stuff going on at Texas, almost like they lost their coach and found out that they don't have a replacement.
