Oh great, reminiscing of the past.

You and the bammer should get along great.

It was a cheap shot on my part, i'll admit. It's always good to get a shot in on a Bammer.

Dude take these guy's comments with a grain of salt...

Honestly I think Les is a very good coach, he has done things or made calls that have had us Tiger fans kind of scratching our heads (like not running Scott more in the UK game) but for the most part he has pulled this team together and have them playing at the top of their game.
Yes we have a high penalty rate here lately and that has driven us crazy because it is dumb flags we get. If I say we feel the ref's are being a little heavy handed on us this year folks would say he is just whining, so I will just say our team needs to stop being so amped up in these games and play a little smarter.
I would love for Coach Miles to stay but would understand if he is offered his dream job and he takes it.

The only thing I hate is the timing and yes ALOT of people are pissed because of that.
It's no secret that Carr does not like Miles so the timing of the announcement just reeks.

Good Luck and......

Miles' best attribute seems to be his asst. coach hirings and his recruiting. Saban left the program in great shape (but this is Miles team now), but Katrina screwed us in '05 and the horrendous road schedule hurt us last year.

I still believe that Miles was a big part of our conservative attitude in some games (Auburn, Arizona St, Tennessee) in the past, but this year he has been fearless. He has played to win this season.

He would recruit his butt off for his alma mater. Have you heard that Carr is still mad that Les kicked his butt over a 5 star recruit Jai Eugene. Les beat out Michigan and got him. That's what you want out of your coach.

To TrueTiger07,back9Tiger,LSUTiger205:
It's because of people like YOU that LSU gets a bad reputation. Why not try and grow up and take your childish frustrations out of here.

The other leading candidate seems to be Carolina Panthers DC Mike Trgovac. Another player under Bo. He's a real good buddy of Lloyd Carr.

Oh please, oh please, oh please. I'm an LSU fan and a Panther fan so this would be music to my ears. Turdovac has given us an AWFUL D this year.

Wolverine: Welcome. My favorite thing about Miles is that he loves his team. Before the Florida game he went to the defense and said, it was going to be a dogfight, and he was going to go for it, on fourth down, more than once. Would the defense have his back?

You saw how the offense and defense reacted.

Miles is an encourager, not a chew them out guy.

coached for 20 years and nvever won a NC. Bear won it 6 times in 24 years, how could you ever compare Blow to coach Bryant? You can't, so for all you yankee pukes, Miles is a better coach the BS already.

Interesting article:
LINK /

Our AD says "He said that a large buyout would likely not turn him off of a candidate. He said he’s also not adverse to waiting a few weeks, as the decision is of a magnitude that its going to reverberate for years."

Unless he's trying to throw a smoke screen, that quote would lead one to believe Les Miles may not be the guy they're looking for

Unless I'm misunderstanding everyone here, I think that's exactly what they're NOT saying.

To say that a large buyout wouldn't be a turn off - Miles HAS a large buyout.

To say they're willing to wait - Miles has said, "Leave me alone until after the season".

Is this all not pointing to them going after Miles or am I missing something?

Don't pay any attention to those. They're in the 10 to 12 year old posters.

Good post but the first response says a lot, 30-5!
