Didn't you get Jim Harbaugh's memo? Michigan's academic standards are much lower than thought.

Miles might have a harder time recruiting up there. Check out the amount of home-grown talent on the LSU roster verses the U of M roster. Having to compete with State for Michigan's talent will certainly make recruiting more difficult.

Michigan roster

LSU roster

Sorry about all of the rude messages. There is one (or two or three...) in every crowd.

I'll say this..I want Les to stay. I've really come around on the guy the past year or so. Slowly but surely....every day I make more progress it seems.

But, you won't find anyone more made for the Michigan job than Les.

As childish as this is, you're right. They beat us twice.
Does this stem from 2003, where we might have cost you the outright national title by losing to USC?
I hope not, because we did LSU a huge favor that season by beating Ohio State, who was ranked #2 in the BCS and would've gone to the NC game.

Miles has surrounded himself with good help at LSU, he is a good manager with excellent help. As for is player selection I think he is just being loyal to his senior back. Sure the others are probably much better but hell we're winning. Just a taste of years to come at LSU.

Hey Michigan. Sorry for all the negative comments to you. Don't take it to heart. There are some in every bunch! I feel that Les is a good coach, don't know if he is great. I do agree that some of his good coaching comes from the players he has to coach. I also question some of his calls (if they are his calls, might be the coordinators). But, the record LSU has speaks for it self. Everything here is only opinions. The only way to know for sure is to get past the last of Saban's recruits and see how well we do when it is ALL Les's recruits and calls. That would start I believe next year. I really hope he stays put for at least a year so we can see what He can do. But, if he chooses to leave for Michigan, I wish him the best. I am sure we will get another great coach. I am sure LSU is one of the top, if not the top job in college football right now. Keep your intelligent, gracious posts coming. Some of us down here do appreciate it! Good luck Michigan!

There have been so many flamers on here lately these guys are a bit trigger happy. Miles is a good coach, but consider his entire body of work, not just his time at LSU. Louisiana has no other college that can really pressure LSU for the top in state recruits. Although I did hear Saban was trying to get a couple of ULM recruits to jump ship. He is a good coach, but our program could make alot of coaches look good right now.

The excessive penalty issue; in my opinion,is a direct reflection of his coaching style. It is the one thing I don't like about Coach Miles. He has served our program well despite all the criticism. If he leaves I wish him well.

After watching that HBO documentary on the Mich/Ohio rivalry...I think Miles is gone. He's a better man than a coach though...and I mean that as a plus. He choked up today...at expressing his love for our team...Saban would have never done that. He's kept a lot of good talent in our stable...probably because the kids like him and trust him. If he gets good coordinators to back him up...he'll win his share. He's a tad conservative...pissed me off in the Kentucky game.

I still hope he stays and wins a NC...but wish him well if he goes. I hope he handles the transition so it doesn't hurt our recruiting to much. Hell...we are getting used to our coaches splitting down here...still winning, so what...good resume when you have the talent La. has.

I have no gosh damn clue what's with the love affair over less smiles. I guess yall are just the radical bunch that he's been preaching to since St. Nick went to tuscalooser. By all means, let's just be paranoid b#tches and jealous over The Coach that took LSU back to National Prominence.

Maybe in the Big 10 you do, if you're Michigan or Ohio State and play one real team a year. You don't get that record in the SEC without knowing your job.
