I have been one of the few anti Fedora

Not even because of a reactionary loss

Just not impressed. Even at Usm
They only had one good season and they weren't a bad program

They had won like 9 games a year or two prior to him

I don't think anyone has Fedora in their Top3... Fedora is on down the list for most. If Fedora gets it, we will have missed on our top targets.

I'd prefer an O that wins out over Fedora.

I never understand the reaction to hire/fire coaches based on ONE game. O shouldn't have been named the coach if he beat Bama and Fedora shouldn't be replaced on a list by Cutcliffe because of ONE game. Great coaches occasionally lose games they shouldn't and mediocre coaches win some they shouldn't.

This is not an endorsement for Fedora. Just an observation and opinion that a body of work, an entire season or multiple seasons are needed to evaluate a coach. Being a college coach requires the ability to sustain a program, not just win or lose a game or two.

He's older but he definitely fits the criteria of having been fired from Ole Miss.

David Cutcliffe is one of the few guys in college football who's seen it all...he's as smart and clever as they come on a football field. HS coaches here in NC love him as he comes into their office as one of them...no ego, no pretense...just a good, smart man. Would do wonders with major talent.

Cutcliffe at 70 would still be a homerun hire for a lowly program like Tennessee, but I doubt he'd make a lateral move from Duke.
